The chef and entrepreneur Olga V\u00e1zquez<\/strong> already has a new veggie business next to the Carmen neighbourhood in Valencia.\u00a0<\/strong>Just a few days ago it opened Amberes, the vegan wine bar<\/strong>with which it hopes to conquer all audiences.<\/p>\n

It is a modern space within the Ad Hoc Monumental hotel,<\/strong> which maintains the Nordic style<\/strong> that characterises all of Olga V\u00e1zquez's businesses, but of the art deco and art nouveau inspiration<\/strong>; work of the lead architect in the group, Manuel D\u00edaz Nebbia<\/strong>. “Cont\u00e1bamos con un espacio de base acogedor con ladrillo cara vista, suelo de mosaico y techo de viguetas y bovedillas de car\u00e1cter tradicional valenciano, que hemos respetado y conducido hacia un ambiente m\u00e1s et\u00e9reo, pero recargado a la vez”, values its creator.<\/strong> The central axis of the design<\/strong> has been the gold colour and gold leaf,<\/strong> tanto en las superficies como salpicado, “que aportan una textura muy vers\u00e1til y aleatoria, seg\u00fan le incida la luz al espacio”. Tambi\u00e9n destacan los tonos neutros de los propios materiales utilizados como el gris del microcemento o el marr\u00f3n de la madera.<\/p>\n

This fusion of modern and ancient<\/strong> draws its inspiration from art deco with its geometric shapes<\/strong> (pointed arches, squares, circles, fitting of shapes within shapes, etc.) and their lamps, and from the art nouveau with its floral and ornate style<\/strong> and gold leaf. Antwerp has furniture of our own design<\/strong> and also with antiques that have been restored, totalling warmth and cosiness<\/strong> to the place to invite the visitor to stay.<\/p>\n

A 100% veggie proposition<\/p>\n

In Antwerp, the spotlight is on the vegan and organic wines<\/strong>, environmentally friendly<\/strong>which make up the main offer, as references of Bodegas Vegalfaro, Dominio de Cair, Abad\u00eda de Retuerta, Pepe Mendoza Casa Agr\u00edcola or Les Cousins.<\/strong> In addition to the liquid supply, there are signature cocktails, such as Amberes Collins<\/strong> (with \u00f8lga beer, sugar cane syrup, gin and yuzu juice), Do\u00f1a Margarita<\/strong> (organic agave syrup, triple seco, coriander, reposado tequila, lime juice and Taj\u00edn salt) or Berries Ginger,<\/strong> a non-alcoholic cocktail made with cranberry juice, ginger, lemon juice, honey, elderflower liqueur, vodka, ginger syrup and Brut Nature cava.<\/p>\n

To accompany these beverages, Antwerp has a menu of sophisticated vegan and vegetarian snacks,<\/strong> designed to accompany both in terms of their preparation and their aesthetics. Many of them are prepared with fresh products from the local Central Market<\/strong>. For example, vegan cheeses<\/strong> with lupine base, croquettes, p\u00e2t\u00e9s and chocolate bonbons<\/strong> (ideal for accompanying red wines), or the tartar bell and the bread ba<\/strong>or with vegetable prawns, perfect with white wines. Lhe food menu is divided into three sections: Appetizers,<\/strong> as an assortment of olives and pickles, vegetable chips or home-spiced nuts; Savoury Bites<\/strong>such as puff pastries (one of the great successes of Oslo's cuisine), dacsa cake, mini-burgers, meatballs or aubergine casserole; and Sweet Bites<\/strong>such as Apple pie, Arz\u00faa cheesecake (gluten-free) or vegan chocolate coulant.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
