Vice goes one step further and inaugurates its first physical premises. Barcelona residents can continue to enjoy Vicio both at home and through Glovo and, as a novelty, the new restaurant located at the Via Augusta 21.
In addition to the plans to expand to new locations in Spainincluding Madrid and the Costa Brava and in the future at an international level, Vicio has decided to create a new restaurant concept, located in the centre of Barcelona, which relies on the coexistence of different business models within the same space.
In only 8 months of life, Vicio already has more than 30 employees.
A hybrid restaurant model that features the take away option through Glovo and that of a physical space to consume on the premises, where the ordering process will be a different experience. Alex Puig, CEO and co-founder of Vicio, is clear that they need to anticipate "consumer behaviour, adapting technology to them and not the other way around".
With this space the Catalan startup will be able to achieve its objectives of doubling its growth in the remainder of the year by delivering more than 800 orders a day.
Oscar Pierre Miquel, CEO and Co founder of Glovo, points out that "Vicio is the essence of the new restaurant model, which is committed to digitalisation and delivery as essential pillars of its business strategy".
