Vips which has just opened its first restaurant in Dos Hermanas in Way Dos Hermanashas announced that it will donate the proceeds of the first day to the provincial delegation of the Red Cross in Seville to finance their project "Promoting school success for children in social difficulty".
The programme of Red Cross seeks improve the school performance of the province's children between 6 and 16 years of age.The project aims to help them with homework and socio-educational activities, promoting healthy habits and leisure activities to promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children, seeking to influence those personal and environmental factors that influence the schooling process of the pupils. The project also includes grants for school materials, tablets and internet, with the aim of minimising the digital divide, and food parcels to reinforce snacks and breakfasts.
"We are delighted to open the doors of our new restaurant in Dos Hermanas and help create new moments of joy for all those who visit us. We are especially excited to start from day one with the Red Cross partnership, with whom we already have a long history of fruitful collaboration, and to contribute to improving the lives of those who have the most difficulties," he says. VIPS' collaboration is part of its social responsibility programme "Muy Capaces", whose objective is to generate a positive impact on the communities in which it is present, with a special focus on the most vulnerable groups. For more than 10 years Vips has an important focus on the community support through training plans for the employment and integration of people in vulnerable situationsas well as through volunteering actions with different organisations and groups.
