Step 1

Upload the Digital Certificate:

Access the menu Tools > Verifactu configuration > Local configuration.

From there, upload your digital certificate in .pfx format and enter the your company's fiscal data. If you have any doubts about the certificate, contact your gestoría for help.

Step 2

Click on Activate Verifactu:
Tick the box "Activate Verifactu to enable the functionality.

Step 3

Check data:
Go to the Verifactu viewer to check that tickets are correctly generated and that include all necessary data to comply with the new e-invoicing regulations.

In the Agora administrator under the section Verifactu within the configuration panel. 

 

What is a digital certificate?

It is a digital document issued by a official certification authority which allows you to identify yourself as a company or self-employed person to the Tax Agency (AEAT). 
This certificate is mandatory to sign electronic invoices sent through Veri*.factu. 

What format does the digital certificate have to be in to be used in Agora?

The certificate must be in the format .pfx (exported file including public and private key) and protected with a password. This file is uploaded directly from the Agora Administrator. 

How do I get my digital certificate?

You can apply through the Fábrica Nacional de Currency and Stamp (FNMT) or other approved certifying bodies such as Camerfirma o ANCERT. 
 

I already have a digital certificate. How do I request it from my manager?

Subject: Request for a compatible digital certificate to activate VeriFactu 

Hello [Name of manager], 

We are in the process of activating the VeriFactuwhich allows invoices to be sent automatically to the Tax Agency in real time, as established by the new regulations. 

To do this, we need to have a valid and compatible digital certificate that can be used in automated environments (.PFX format or similar), with which we can electronically sign the invoices generated from our system. 

Could you please arrange one of the following certificates for us? 

  • The digital certificate of the company (legal person) 
  • Either the certificate of the legal representative if applicable 

In addition, it would be ideal if the file were provided to us in the format .PFX and including the passwordThis is necessary in order to integrate it securely into the system.
