Beer & Food has been renamed Avanza Food. The group presents its new corporate image, which better reflects its values, as well as its leadership, commitment to innovation, capacity for improvement and future projection.
Avanza Food thus completes a cycle that began in January 2018, when the Venture Capital fund ABAC Solutions, and a management team with extensive experience in the organised catering sector, both nationally and internationally, led by Sergio Rivas, bought the company from Heineken, with the aim of becoming a benchmark group in the Spanish market.

Since then, the group has been carrying out a complete overhaul of theeestructuring the brand portfolio and the company at all levels.

We are Avanza Food, a new identity that better defines our way of being and our way of doing things, with which we want to continue leading the transformation of the sector and consolidate our position as a benchmark catering group", says Sergio Rivas, CEO of Avanza Food.

New organisational structure and Development Plan 2021

As part of this new phase, as of October 2020 Avanza Food has an new organisational structureThe aim is to meet the new consumer needs that have arisen as a result of the pandemic, and to be able to face the new scenario that the catering sector is already facing with guarantees of success.

This structure is based on three strategic divisionson the one hand, its Restaurant Brands DivisionThe second is its most emblematic brands, such as Tony Roma's, of which it has recently become the owner in Spain, France, Portugal and Andorra, as well as Carl's Jr., Tommy Mel's and La Chelinda. On the other hand, its Heineken Licenses DivisionThe new brewery is made up of its most brewing brands, such as Official Irish Pub, Gambrinus and Cruz Blanca. Finally, its new Dark Kitchens & Virtual Brands Divisionwhere the company has developed new formats and business models, adapted to new consumer trends, completely innovative and exclusive to the Delivery channel, consolidating its position as a leading and innovative company.

Looking ahead to 2021, Avanza Food continues to be immersed in a Development and Expansion Plan for its most strategic brands, such as Tony Roma's and Carl's Jr., where it has planned 12 openings throughout the year, to which it will add another 10 Dark Kitchens openings, making a total of 22 openings in 2021.
