This January, the first works of the Hotel Coronas Playa in Costa Teguise (Lanzarote)to turn it into an innovative resort to be operated by Canarian Hospitality. The hotel will remain closed for 10 months for the duration of the execution of the work, and it shall be inaugurated next November.

Canarian Hospitality is continuing its rapid expansion, after open lhe doors of the past December at Adeje, Tenerifeof its first hotel, and announce the opening of a second in Yaiza, also in Lanzarote, by the end of this year.

The Al-Bochi' family, owner of the propertywill carry out the investment of this project of hotel refurbishment in Costa Teguise, which exceeds 10 millionthrough financing provided by RIC Private Equitythe first collective investment undertaking in the Canary Islands Investment Reserve (RIC)The RIC, promoted by a group of businessmen of recognised prestige and reputation in the Islands. The RIC is a tax resource, included in the Economic and Fiscal Regime of the IslandsThe Commission has also launched a programme for companies that make investments that promote infrastructure and job creation in the archipelago.

“Uno de los alicientes de este proyecto es que se trata de una rehabilitación que permite mejorar la calidad alojativa de las Islas Canarias sin recurrir a una nueva edificación, lo que ayudará, no solo a mejorar la estética del edificio y la calidad de los servicios, sino también a atraer un tipo de turista con mayor poder adquisitivo sin necesidad de ocupar más espacio del ya edificado, es decir, siendo más sostenibles, sin consumir más territorio”, asegura Óscar Palacios, Director of Expansion and Institutional Relations of Canarian Hospitality.

The six-storey hotel, which will be a 4 stars Superior, will have 229 rooms, four swimming pools, a buffet restaurant and an à la carte restaurant, a beach club, lobby bar, pool bar, theatre, spa and gym.
