We inform you about the latest update regarding the new Verifactu regulation. According to the recent publication in the BOE (Official State Gazette) of the Order HAC/1177/2024 On 28 October 2024, the regulatory development regulating the Computerised Invoicing Systems and VERI*FACTU has been completed, specifically in relation to Entrepreneurs and Professionals.
This system promoted by the Tax Agency (AEAT) establishes new invoicing control requirements, with the aim of guaranteeing transparency, reinforcing the obligation to issue invoices for all transactions carried out, ensuring that all transactions are securely recorded in the computer system and facilitating compliance with tax obligations.
To comply with this regulation, a Verifactu invoice must include a mandatory QR code containing the necessary information to identify it and the explicit reference to the Verifactu system, to indicate that it is verifiable.
A deadline of 29 July 2025 has been set for invoicing software providers to adapt their solutions while the mandatory implementation for companies and the self-employed will be from 1 July 2025. For restaurants, it means a transformation to adopt new software that will impact daily operations and management.
At FOS Consulting, we continue to work on adapting our systems to ensure that your invoicing meets all of the above requirements. We will keep you informed of all relevant updates, providing the necessary support so that we are prepared.
